Hiccups of fate - words with resonance
Sometimes I read something that seems so apt to life at a particular time.
"Little things--the tiniest things--could catapult you towards a good life, but you had to be open and you had to be paying attention. Love wasn't purely destined, it relied on hiccups of fate." -- "A Black Dog," by Davy Rothbart

Not many truer words have been spoken. Many things that happen to us are due to hiccups. Quite literally in my case. I met the fragrant Mrs Dr McC quite by accident when I caught her attention during a nasty bout of hiccups. She offered me her time-honoured remedy of holding ones nose, breathing in 3 times, drinking nine sips of water and humming Scotland the Brave, backwards, WITHOUT taking a single breath. It worked, and our joint fate was sealed from that moment onwards....aaawww.
Dr J - that is THE best chat-up line I have ever heard! How could you not fall in love with her after that?
But I did! We often reminisce about how the smallest things can change the course of our lives citing this very example. The memory is so vivid that I can still taste the anchovies that accompanied the burp that preceded the hiccup that sealed my fate
Better burps than farts, Dr J. Sorry to inject such a note of jarring coarseness here, but I had a curry the night before last and am still suffering from it.
The fart is a common way of breaking the ice in gorilla communities. It's not an unfriendly act if you do it in the open air. Nothing romantic about it, of course, it just indicates that you're not about to charge.
Me never think a gorilla am going to charge...
unless he take out his credit card!

monnnnssttttteeeee....I don't know whether to laugh or slap my forehead with the heel of my hand. I feel I shall do both.
the hiccups of fate? sounds like a title of a novel.
Here missus, I'm going to send you a link, I want to know what you think of the Inas, and the Isha (red). I'm torn, the Inas are eye catching, but perhaps a touch 'Gladiator' ?

Opinions please.
The Inas -very now, and nice and high for evening? Slavegirl glamour. The Isha, lovely, but heel a bit low for real ankle glamour. For current good designer copy, the Elirissa is spot on, and good for daytime funk.
Slave girl it is so!
Can you post a pic of you wearing them - we girls also enjoy seeing the shoes "in situ" so to speak, it'll also give a bit of a boost to the foot fetishists and the drooling swains.
Soon as I have 'em!
